Douglas County PUD Commissioners Mike Doneen, Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the November 27, 2006 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Awarded ABB of Kalama, WA, contract 06-40-D, Pangborn Substation 115kV Breakers. ABB, with a bid price of $357,732, was the lowest responsive bidder. (06-267)
Declared a HP LaserJet printer surplus and authorized trade-in. (06-268)
Authorized acceptance and final payment to Horeco, Inc. for hatchery chiller modifications at Wells Dam, Azwell, Washington. The total cost of the work under contract 06-26-W was $68,643.66 plus sales tax. (06-269)
Approved an addendum to bid document 06-41-W, generator rebuild for unit refurbishment for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. This addendum will extend the bid opening date from January 16, 2007 to March 5, 2007, to give the potential bidders adequate time to prepare their bid. (06-270)
Established the assessment roll of Local Utility District (LUD) No. 1 of Douglas County, the Rio Vista Street Lighting System. Manager Bill Dobbins advised the Commission the assessment will be $22.00 per lot. The Public Hearing date is set for December 19, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the East Wenatchee Headquarters. Any lot owner in the LUD area wishing to comment on the assessment may do so in writing prior to that time or by attending the hearing in person. (06-271)
Authorized the renewal of excess liability insurance coverage with AEGIS Insurance Service, Inc. The renewal premium of $272,525 reflects a decrease from 2006. (06-272)
Authorized a renewal with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for Commercial General Liability, Washington Stop Gap and Commercial Automobile Liability Coverage with a renewal premium of $179,394. (06-273)
The Commission was informed Douglas PUD was not selected to receive Clean Renewable Energy Bonds (CREBs) funding from the Internal Revenue Service.
Rescheduled the December 18, 2006 Commission Meeting to Tuesday, December 19, 2006. It will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the East Wenatchee Headquarters Building.
Canceled the regular meeting scheduled for December 25, 2006.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. December 4, 2006 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters building.
