Douglas County PUD Commissioners Mike Doneen, Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the July 31, 2006 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Opened the bid submitted for bid document 06-30-D, customer edge equipment. Platt of Portland, OR, with a bid of $48,250 was the only responsive bidder. The District’s estimate was $45,000. The bid will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.
Authorized initiating an investigation regarding time-based rate schedules, “smart” metering and communications. The Federal Energy Policy Act of 2005 requires utilities to conduct this investigation to enable customers to manage energy use and cost. (06-191)
Approved initiating an investigation regarding interconnection and net metering standard consistent with the purposes and requirements of recent legislation and the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act. (06-192)
Authorized an agreement between Douglas County PUD and NoaNet for fiber optic design and engineering services. NoaNet has requested assistance designing and engineering fiber optic routes from NoaNet facilities in Douglas County to sites in Quincy. (06-193)
Amended provisions of resolution 06-180 (Seventh Supplemental Resolution). This resolution clarifies that a reserve account will be established for the 2006A series, not the 2006B series. (06-194)
Authorizing execution of consent to assignment of rights under Colville Account. The tribe desires to utilize a portion of revenue flowing through the account to secure a loan agreement with Key Bank. (06-195)
