Douglas County PUD Commissioners Mike Doneen, Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the July 10, 2006 Commission meeting held at the Bridgeport office building:
Presented Technician II Paul Mayer with his thirty year service award. Commissioner Doneen thanked Paul on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for his many years of service. Paul said, “I have worked here all my life and I appreciate everything the PUD has done for me. It is a great place to work.”
Authorized a call for bids under bid document 06-30-D, customer edge equipment. To meet the construction goals for the Douglas County Community Network, the District needs to purchase hardened switches.
Approved acceptance of a subdivision power facilities agreement for Jarnes Short Subdivision. The developer, Calho, LLC, has paid the contribution in aid of construction and provided a cash deposit in the total amount of $10,892.
Authorized an addendum to the Agreement for Professional Services with JC Henry and Company, Inc. The addendum will extend the conclusion date to September 30, 2006 and increase the not to exceed amount to $25,000.
Approved the selection of DevelopmentNow to provide the District with website design and implementation and authorized staff to negotiate a Professional Services Agreement.
Approved a land use permit for Wells Tract 100. This permit will allow an existing irrigation pump on a floating dock and access pathway on District property.
Approved a land use permit for Wells Tract 32. This permit will allow a temporary boat dock on District property.
Approved the operation and maintenance budget for the Wells Hatchery for the 2006-2007 fiscal year for $954,395. This is a 6 percent increase from last year’s budget.
Approved the acceptance and final payment to Jenco Building Services working under contract 06-13-W, joint seal repairs for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. All work under the contract has been completed, inspected and determined to meet the bid specifications.
Awarded American Civil Constructors of Seattle, contract 06-33-W, tailrace and forebay debris removal for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. American Civil Constructors, with a bid price of $1,459,800, was the lowest responsive bidder.
Called a special meeting of the board regarding the Wells Hydroelectric Project bond issuance. The meeting will be held Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 4 p.m. in the East Wenatchee Headquarters Board Room.
