Douglas County PUD Commissioners Mike Doneen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the June 19, 2006 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Opened bids submitted for bid document 06-27-W, Wells Dam entrance sign. Two bids were received. The apparent low bidder is Hale and Long of East Wenatchee, with a bid of $98,700. The District’s estimate was $80,000. All bids will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.
Approved a contract with Electrical Safety Consultants International (ESCI). ESCI will provide necessary employee safety instruction. (06-154)
Authorized a contract for traffic control flagging, as referenced in bid document 06-20-D, with TJE LLC at a cost not to exceed $82,000. (06-155)
Approved an amendment of the employee service award program. This resolution allows employees to choose a piece of logo clothing or service award to recognize milestone years of employment. (06-156)
Authorized the manager to sign the suspension agreement among the Northwest Power Pool Control Area Operators and Pacific Northwest Security Coordinator and Western Electricity Coordinating Council. This will allow the Pacific Northwest Security Coordinator to modify the self insured retention section of the Security Coordination Agreement. (06-157)
Approved the advertisement for architectural and engineering services for a warehouse and fabrication shop at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. (06-158)
Approved land use permit 749E-01, Wells Tract 749. This permit will allow an access pathway on District land and the removal of asphalt from an abandoned roadway. (06-159)
