Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Mike Doneen, Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the April 24, 2006 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:

No bids were submitted for bid document 06-20-D, traffic control flagging.

Declared Avistar a sole source of phase identification system equipment. The District has a need to determine phase and phase angle at any point throughout the power distribution system. Avistar is the only company manufacturing equipment with those capabilities. (06-101)

Approved a call for bids under bid document 06-21-D, asphalt concrete repair and installation. Certain distribution work requires the repair or installation of asphalt damaged during construction or maintenance of underground and overhead circuits. (06-102)

Rejected the bid received under bid document 06-18-W, hatchery chiller modifications at Wells Dam, Azwell, Washington. The bid exceeded the engineer’s estimate by more than the amount allowable under state law. (06-103)

Authorized the extension of contract with Doble Engineering for an additional year. Douglas PUD has used Doble test equipment since 1981. Doble offers use of specialized test equipment and technical support. The contract is not to exceed $20,630.(06-104)

Approved negotiation of contract for recreational facilities improvements at Memorial Park, Pateros, Washington and Marina Park, Bridgeport Washington. This project is in compliance with the 2002 Recreation Action Plan Update. (06-105)

Authorized a settlement agreement with Edwin and Jean Haskell regarding Wells Tract 3. (06-106)

Approved land use permit 3A-01, Wells Tract 3. This permit will allow existing pipeline crossing and roadway crossing to continue on District land. (06-107)
