Douglas County PUD Commissioners Mike Doneen, Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the April 3, 2006 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Opened the bid submitted for bid document 06-12-D, supply two 2006 6X6 Digger Derrick line trucks. One bid was received for the contract from Altec Industries, Inc. of Dixon, CA, with a bid of $894,958. The District’s estimate was $780,000. The bid will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.
Awarded Asplundh Tree Expert Co. of Kenmore, WA contract 06-15-D, Distribution tree trimming. Asplundh Tree Expert Co. with a bid of $241,728, was the only responsive bidder. (06-84)
Authorized a call for bids under bid document 06-20-D, traffic control flagging. Flagging services are necessary on a regular basis for Distribution System construction work along roadways. This contract has an option to extend the contract for an additional one-year period. (06-85)
Rejected the bid received under bid document 06-14-W, Wells Dam 1,000, 2,000 and 3,750 kVA 14.4 kV / 480V Distribution and small power transformers. The bid exceeded the engineer’s estimate by more than the amount allowable under state law. (06-87)
Authorized an agreement for professional services with Columbia Basin Environmental for dissolved gas sensor calibration for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. Periodic maintenance and calibration of dissolved gas sensors is necessary to assure accurate readings. This contract is not to exceed $15,239. (06-88)
Approved a land use permit for Jill Freeze and Daniel Wagoner. Existing residential landscaping, bulkhead and boat dock will be allowed on District land with this permit. (06-89)
Approved renewal of fiduciary liability insurance with American International Group (AIG). (06-90)
Authorized renewal of comprehensive crime coverage with The Hartford. (06-91)
Changed the time and location of the April 10, 2006 Commission Meeting. It will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the Wells Hydroelectric Project.
