Douglas County PUD Commissioners Mike Doneen, Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the March 20, 2006 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Opened bids submitted for bid document 06-11-D, pole testing and treating. Two bids were received. The apparent low bidder is Pole Maintenance Company, LLC of Columbus Nebraska, with a bid of $171,180. The District’s estimate was $200,000. All bids will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.
Opened bids submitted for bid document 06-13-W, joint seal repairs for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. Four bids were received. The apparent low bidder is Jenco Building Services of Fife, with a bid of $22,990. The District’s estimate was $43,500. All bids will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.
Authorized acceptance of all work performed by Cascade Cable Constructors, Inc. under the first year of contract 05-13-D, installation of underground primary cable and conduit. All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. Douglas PUD will opt to extend the contract an additional year. (06-72)
Authorized a call for bids under bid document 06-16-D, customer edge equipment and enclosures. To meet the construction goals for the Douglas County Community Network, the District needs to purchase switch enclosures, switch electronics and hardened switches. (06-73)
Awarded Eagle Freightliner of Hermiston, OR, contract 06-03-D, 2006 14 yard dump truck. Eagle Freightliner, with a bid price of $124,941, was the lowest responsive bidder. (06-74)
Authorized a broker services agreement with Evolution Markets, L.L.C. Occasionally the District has the need to supplement its price discovery capabilities and in locating qualified sellers and purchasers for the purchase, sale or exchange of tradable renewable energy certificates. (06-75)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 06-17-W, recreational facilities improvements at Memorial Park, Pateros, Washington and Marina Park, Bridgeport Washington. This project is in compliance with the 2002 Recreation Action Plan Update. (06-76)
Authorized a call for bids under bid document 06-18-W, hatchery chiller modifications at Wells Dam, Azwell, Washington. The hatchery requires chilled water for proper development of summer Chinook and steelhead eggs. The current system can no longer handle the capacity of water necessary and has been experiencing breakdowns. (06-77)
Established the price for copying and scanning requested public documents at $0.15 per page. (06-78)
