Douglas County PUD Commissioners Mike Doneen, Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the March 6, 2006 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building
Opened bids submitted for bid document 06-09-D, EPR underground primary cable. Four bids were received. The apparent low bidder is WESCO of Portland, with a bid of $165,652. The District’s estimate was $214,500. All bids will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.
Authorized acceptance of all work performed by Asplundh Tree Expert Co. under the second year of contract 04-17-D, Distribution tree trimming. All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (06-61)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 06-15-D, Distribution tree trimming. (06-62)
Approved acceptance and final payment to Trenchless Construction under contract 05-32-W, directional drilling through a railroad/roadway embankment. All work has been completed and determined to meet the contract specifications. (06-63)
Authorized negotiation of agreements for professional services for the development and implementation of a total dissolved gas dynamics study at the Wells Hydroelectric Project with EES Consulting and Oakwood Environmental. (06-64)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 06-14-W, Wells Dam 1,000, 2,000 and 3,750 kVA 14.4 kV / 480V Distribution and small power transformers. These transformers are necessary for the backup power system at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. (06-65)
Declared an emergency, waived the normal bidding procedures and authorized the District to contract with the Bonneville Power Administration for transformer inspection and repair services. (06-66)
Moved the location of the March 13, 2006 Commission Meeting from the Bridgeport Office to the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m.
