Douglas County PUD Commissioners Mike Doneen, Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the February 27, 2006 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Opened bids submitted for bid document 06-03-D, 2006 14 yard dump truck. Four bids were received. The apparent low bidder is Eagle Freightliner or Hermiston, OR, with a bid of $124,941. The District’s estimate was $130,000. All bids will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.
Opened the bid submitted for bid document 06-06-D, to furnish a 4X4 loader backhoe and 20 ton tilt trailer. One bid was received for the contract from Central Machinery Sales, Inc. of Moses Lake with a bid price of $71,905. The District’s estimate was $80,000. The bid will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.
Opened bids submitted for bid document 06-10-W 2006-2007, heavy equipment services for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. Two bids were received. The apparent low bidder is Carter Excavation of Brewster, with a bid of $345,436. The District’s estimate was $342,000. All bids will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.
Conducted a public hearing for the proposed pole attachment rate formula and resulting rate. Letters were received from Verizon Communications, Charter Communications and CenturyTel. The Commission declared the hearing closed and directed staff to take public comment into consideration and report back to them with a recommendation.
Authorized a rate adjustment for the Professional Services Agreement with RH2 Engineering. This agreement allows for the fee schedule to be negotiated annually to reflect any increase in the cost of doing business. (06-56)
Approved an amendment to the agreement for Professional Services with PBS Environmental, Inc. This agreement allows for the fee schedule to be negotiated annually to reflect any increase in the cost of doing business. (06-57)
Awarded Don Wright’s Lawn Service of East Wenatchee, contract 06-07-W 2006-2007 Grounds Maintenance. Don Wright’s Lawn Service, with a bid price of $84,304.60 on schedule A and $68,384.20 on schedule B, was the lowest responsive bidder. (06-58)
Approved the 2006 Western Electricity Coordinating Council budget. The District’s portion of the budget is .15% for a cost of $28,217.77. (06-59)
Authorized a call for bids under bid document 06-13-W, joint seal repairs for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The deck of the Wells Hydroelectric Project has sealed expansion joints. Deterioration of the waterproof joint seals has allowed water to seep inside. (06-60)
