Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Mike Doneen, Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the January 10, 2006 Commission meeting held at the Wells Hydroelectric Project:

Awarded North Sky Communications, Inc of Vancouver, contract 06-02-D, fiber splicing crew. North Sky Communications, with a bid price of $ 79,000, was the lowest responsive bidder. (06-14)

Authorized an amendment to the franchise agreement with the town of Waterville to transfer ownership from the Town of Waterville to Douglas County PUD. (06-15)

Authorized a fee increase for Service Risk Management Client Services agreement with Marsh USA, Inc. (06-16)

Declared HP LaserJet printer surplus and authorized disposal. Xerox will give the District a trade-in credit toward the purchase of a new printer. (06-17)

Approved an amendment to the agreement for professional services with Columbia Basin Environmental regarding evaluation of total dissolved gas related to the Wells Hydroelectric Project. This amendment extends the contract through February 28, 2006. (06-18)

Authorized a change order to contract 05-07W with National Electric Coil to rebuild Generator Unit No. 1 for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The change includes re-shrinking the rotor rim. The cost of the change is $237,300 and will extend the term of the contract five weeks. (06-19)

Rejected all bids to replace the surface water intake systems at the Wells Hatchery. The bids received for the contract exceeded the engineer’s estimate by more than the amount allowable under state law. (06-20)

Approved a land use permit for Godbey, RR-01’. This permit will allow continued use of a pipeline crossing the Railroad. (06-21)
