Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Mike Doneen and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the December 5, 2005 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:

Authorized the acceptance for all work performed by Selland Construction to provide Douglas PUD with Orondo Substation mobile modification. All work has been completed and determined to meet the contract specifications. (05-266)

Approved a call for bids to provide Douglas PUD the Dutch Henry modular substation. This substation, used in conjunction with the District’s mobile substation, will enhance the reliability of power for customers from Withrow to the top of Badger Mountain. (05-267)

Approved a call for bids to provide Douglas PUD with a fiber splicing crew to assist District crews with communications projects. (05-268)

Rejected all bids to provide Douglas PUD with directional drilling through a railroad/roadway embankment for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The bids received for the contract exceeded the engineer’s estimate by more than the amount allowable under state law. (05-269)

Authorized negotiation of contract for directional drilling through a railroad/roadway embankment for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. (05-270)

Approved a call for bids to provide Douglas PUD with replacement of surface water intake systems at the Wells Hatchery. The new system is necessary to meet the requirements of the Biological Opinion issued by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. (05-271)

Authorized transfer and assignment of agreement for use and occupation of the Dyer Butte microwave building. (05-272)

Approved a land use permit for Roger and Jan Erlandsen. Residential landscaping will be allowed on District land with this permit.(05-273)

Authorized a land use permit for Kristopher Erlandsen. Residential landscaping will be allowed on District land with this permit. (05-274)
