Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the October 31, 2005 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Approved Northwest Open Access Network (NoaNet) capital contribution agreement. Under the agreement, several NoaNet members will make capital contributions, aimed at reducing NoaNet’s line of credit borrowing and adjusting member interests. (05-246)
Approved a call for bids to provide Douglas PUD with directional drilling through a railroad/roadway embankment for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. Directional drilling of conduit, required for a septic system and power cables, is necessary to cross the railroad right of way. (05-247)
Approved the purchase of Property/Boiler and Machinery Coverage from two companies in a quota-share arrangement. The two companies are Starr Technical Risks Agency, Inc. (formerly Hartford Steam Boiler) and Zurich American Insurance Company. The premium is $464,945 and the policy limit is $200 million. (05-249)
