Douglas County PUD Commissioners Mike Doneen, Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the October 24, 2005 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Opened bids to provide Douglas PUD with a Headquarters chiller replacement. One bid was received for the contract from W.A. Botting of Woodinville, WA with a bid price of $151,900. The District’s estimate was $130,000. The bid will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.
Approved a change order for the contract with Underground Specialties to provide Douglas PUD with Shared Access Ethernet Fiber Underground Pilot Project Construction. The change includes adding 60 feet of conduit under Kansas Avenue. The cost of the change is $800, raising the total project cost from $54,946 to $55,746. (05-240)
Awarded Mogle Excavation, LLC of Wenatchee, a contract to provide Douglas PUD with Bauer’s Landing conduit system installation. Mogle Excavation, with a bid price of $95,698.85, was the lowest responsive bidder. (05-241)
Rejected the bid to provide Douglas PUD with directional drilling through a railroad/roadway embankment for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The bid received for the contract exceeded the engineer’s estimate by more than the amount allowable under state law. (05-242)
Awarded Wells and Wade Mechanical of Wenatchee, a contract to provide Douglas PUD with HVAC modification and retrofit to Units 2-4 for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. Wells and Wade Mechanical, with a bid price of $287,830, was the lowest responsive bidder. (05-243)
Authorized the renewal of Aircraft Non-ownership Liability Coverage with XL Aerospace. The premium price of $10,625 will insure Douglas PUD with a $10,000,000 limit of liability. (05-244)
Approved an agreement for professional services with the Canadian Okanagan Basin Technical Working Group regarding flow management tools for Okanagan River sockeye salmon production. (05-245)
