Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the July 25, 2005 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:

Opened bids to provide Douglas PUD with well and pump maintenance for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. One bid was received for the contract from Irrigation Technology Inc. of East Wenatchee with a bid price of $219,235. The District’s estimate was $256,128. The bid will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.

Approved the acceptance of materials received from McFarland Cascade Pole and Lumber working under contract to provide Douglas PUD with wood poles for the China Creek Project. All materials under the contract have been received and meet the bid specifications. (05-172)

Authorized a call for bids to provide Douglas PUD with Shared Access Ethernet Fiber Underground Pilot Project Construction. Customers will be connected to the network using a combination of Ethernet technologies. The pilot project area is in East Wenatchee covering the East Hills Terrace and Bel-Air Drive neighborhoods. Accepted bids received for Douglas PUD surplus items sold by Northwest Auction Service and authorized disposal of the items not sold. The auction raised $37,616.40 for Douglas PUD. (05-174)

Approved an amendment to the agreement for professional services with LGL Limited regarding implementation of Bull Trout, Lamprey and Coho telemetry studies at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. This amendment extends the contract through September 30, 2005. (05-175)

Authorized negotiation of an agreement for professional services with The DOH Associates for architectural services. The District has a need for professional architectural services for planning and design of various projects. (05-176)

Approved establishment of a new bank account for the 2005 Construction Fund and authorized signers for accounts at Washington Trust Bank. (05-177)
