Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Mike Doneen, Jim Davis, and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the April 11, 2005 Commission meeting held at the Bridgeport office building:

Authorized partial release of retainage to Tunnel Hill Granite under contract to provide Douglas PUD with excavation services for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. Tunnel Hill Granite has completed all requirements of the first year of the two year contract. (05-85)

Awarded McFarland Cascade Pole and Lumber of Tacoma a contract to provide Douglas PUD with wood poles for the O’Malley 34.5 KV Project phase two. McFarland Cascade Pole and Lumber, with a bid price of $90,599, was the lowest responsive bidder. (05-86)

Authorized acceptance of a subdivision power facilities agreement for Denny Weber Development, Division 2. The developer, Dennis Weber, has paid the Contribution in Aid of Construction and provided a cash deposit in the total amount of $22,836. (05-87)

Approved a funding request from the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center to participate in an exhibit and book entitled “River of Memory: The Everlasting Columbia.” This exhibit will provide education on the history of the Columbia River through photos, audio, and written accounts as well as highlight the 39 indigenous species of fish that live in the Columbia River. This contract is not to exceed $10,000. (05-88)
