Douglas County PUD Commissioners Mike Doneen, Jim Davis, and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the April 4, 2005 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Opened bids to provide Douglas PUD with wood poles for the O’Malley 34.5 KV Project phase two. There were three bids received for the contract with bid prices ranging from $90,599 to $97,815. The apparent low bid was received from McFarland Cascade Pole and Lumber of Tacoma. The District’s estimate was $108,564. All bids will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.
Awarded WESCO Distribution, Inc., of Portland, OR, a contract to provide Douglas PUD with EPR underground primary cable. WESCO Distribution, Inc., with a bid price of $284,291, was the lowest responsive bidder. (05-81)
Approved the call for bids to provide Douglas PUD with the installation of underground primary cable and conduit. After evaluating methods to rebuild the existing overhead lines in the Waterville Plateau area or replacing them with underground lines using plowing installation techniques, it was decided that when possible overhead lines should be replaced with plowed underground primary cable to avoid problems that occur when frost accumulates on overhead lines. (05-82)
Authorized a call for bids to provide Douglas PUD with a distribution dock crew. Necessary to assist District crews with overhead and underground projects, the bid requires distribution, transmission and substation crews. The agreement contains a provision for a one-year extension. (05-83)
Authorized a call for bids to provide Douglas PUD with building maintenance for the East Wenatchee headquarters facility. (05-84)
