Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the January 17, 2005 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:

The Commissioners received a letter from Washington State Auditor Brian Sonntag congratulating the District on its “commitment to accountability as demonstrated by the District not having a finding in at least five years.” Mr. Sonntag also states, “We appreciate management’s constructive responses to our recommendations and the timely improvements that have been made in the past. A critical component of the District’s operations is its staff. The entire staff has consistently expressed sincere interest in the results of our audit work and has been cooperative and friendly throughout the audit process.”

Authorized the renewal of a Data Processing Access Agreement with Douglas County. This agreement allows Douglas PUD personnel to research current ownership of properties and location of easements in the County Auditor and Assessor database. The cost of accessing this information is not to exceed $1,000 per year. (05-14)

Authorized a professional agreement with Biomark, Inc., a sole source. Biomark will supply all PIT-tag related research activities, and will provide consistency with existing infrastructure and studies because they are the only company with a working knowledge of the adult and juvenile Pit-tag interrogation system utilized for Wells Project studies. This contract is not to exceed $36,000. (05-15)
