Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Mike Doneen executed the following actions during the December 6, 2004 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Presented Commissioner Mike Doneen with his forty-year service award. Commissioner Jim Davis thanked Mike for his many years of devoted service to the customers of Douglas County. “You are the heart and sole of public power in Douglas County, the region and across the country. Thank you,” said Jim.
“It has been my pleasure. The past 40 years have been wonderful. I would like to thank the employees for making Douglas a great PUD. I have loved every minute, and I thank you for that,” said Mike.
Authorized acceptance of all work performed by Pipkin Construction of East Wenatchee under a contract to provide Douglas PUD with Eastmont Substation oil containment. All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (04-263)
Approved an agreement for professional services with Central Washington University Department of Anthropology for the purpose of inventorying, cataloging, curating and transporting artifacts. This contract is not to exceed $7,500. (04-264)
Authorized a renewal with Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. The renewal premium for general liability is $101,428 and reflects a decrease of $22,806 from 2004 due to market conditions. The premium for the Washington stop gap policy is $5,390, an increase of $238. The renewal premium of $53,845 for the automobile liability policy reflects an increase of $874 from 2004. (04-265)
Authorized the renewal of excess liability insurance coverage with AEGIS Insurance Service, Inc. The renewal premium of $281,331 reflects an increase of $19,065 from 2004, due to current market conditions. (04-266)
