Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Mike Doneen executed the following actions during the November 22, 2004 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Opened bids to provide Douglas PUD with disk-based mass storage solutions. One bid was received for the contract from Integrated Archive Systems of Palo Alto, CA with a bid price of $128,503. The District’s estimate was $130,000. The bid will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.
Approved acceptance of a subdivision power facilities agreement for Canyon Hills Subdivision, Phase 6. The developer, Prime Properties, LLC, has paid the contribution in aid of construction and provided a secured funds account in the total amount of $92,350. (04-251)
Authorized the modification of Appendix B of the Interlocal Agreement with Douglas County to add Rock Island Sheriff’s Office. This modification will allow the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in Rock Island access to the Douglas County Community Network. (04-252)
Authorized the modification of Appendix B of the Interlocal Agreement with Eastmont School District to add Clovis Intermediate School. This modification will allow Clovis Intermediate School access to the Douglas County Community Network. (04-253)
Approved the funding request of North Central Educational Service District (NCESD) in the amount of $42,729 for the 2004-2005 school year. In effect since 1988, agreements between Douglas PUD and NCESD have been established to provide educational curriculum for every kindergarten, first, second, third, fourth, fifth and seventh grade student in Douglas County. Classes pertain to electrical generation, electric distribution, conservation, safety and wise use of water resources. In addition, a fifth grade curriculum includes some Douglas County history and geology along with a tour of the Wells Hydroelectric Project. (04-254)
Authorized a change order for the contract with Hale and Long, General Contractors to supply Douglas PUD with a headquarters addition. The changes include electromagnetic door latches that are compatible with our fire alarm system, and floor preparation due to removal of floor tiles and adhesive containing asbestos. The cost of the changes is $5,022.09, raising the total project cost from $4,279,258.52 to $4,284,280.61. (04-255)
