Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Mike Doneen executed the following actions during the November 8, 2004 Commission meeting held at the Bridgeport Office:
Presented Operations Supervisor - Wells Tom Hook with his thirty year service award. Commissioner Jim Davis thanked Tom for his many years of devoted service to the customers of Douglas County. “Thank you. It has been my pleasure,” said Tom.
Presented Chief Operator Steve Early with his twenty-five year service award. Commissioner Jim Davis thanked Steve for his many years of devoted service to keeping the lights on and the rates low.
Authorized an interchange agreement with Cowlitz County PUD for exchange, purchase or sale of power and energy. This agreement would enable the parties to exchange, sell or purchase capacity, energy or other services. (04-239)
Awarded G.L. Palm Construction of Winthrop, WA the contract to provide Douglas PUD with modifications to the Twisp River Weir / Sill. G.L. Palm, with a bid price of $141,850, was the only responsive bidder. (04-240)
Authorized a change order for the contract with IRS Environmental, Inc. to supply Douglas PUD with asbestos abatement for the headquarters addition. The change covers removal of certain items from the Relicensing area. The cost of this change is $1,921. (04-241)
Approved a land use permit for Gale Badten. This permit will allow dry land wheat cultivation to continue on District land. (04-242)
Authorized wind testing lease and option agreements with four property owners covering a total of 661 acres for annual payments totaling $1,551. (04-243-04-246)
Approved an agreement with Avista Corporation for purchase and sale of power during 2005. (04-247)
Authorized engagement of Ryan, Swanson and Cleveland, PLLC. (04-248)
