Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the October 25, 2004 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:

Authorized acceptance of all work performed by Jim’s Pacific Sterling to supply Douglas PUD with a 4X4 cab and chassis. All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (04-226)

Approved the acceptance of materials received from Bell Lumber and Pole Co. working under contract to provide Douglas PUD wood poles for the O’Malley 34.5 KV Project. All materials under the contract have been received and meet the bid specifications. (04-227)

Authorized a change order for the contract with Wilson Construction to provide Douglas PUD a distribution dock crew. The change increases the not to exceed amount $400,000 raising the total contract cost from $600,000 to $1,000,000. The District has used the services of the dock crew to complete extensive work in the Bridgeport area and Waterville Plateau. (04-228)

A resolution was introduced authorizing an interchange agreement with Cowlitz County PUD for exchange, purchase or sale of power and energy. This agreement would enable the parties to exchange, sell or purchase capacity, energy or other services. Douglas PUD Commission will consider the resolution for final action in two weeks at the board meeting scheduled for November 8, 2004.

Approved a wind testing lease and option agreement with Juanita Hadfield covering 79 acres with an annual payment of $185. (04-229)

Authorized a Request for Qualifications for general consulting services for hydroelectric relicensing activities related to the Wells Hydroelectric Project. Douglas PUD is looking for firms with experience in developing Federal Energy Regulatory Commission licensing documents, relicensing strategies and study plans. (04-230)
