Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis and Mike Doneen executed the following actions during the September 27, 2004 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:

Approved the acceptance of materials received from Central Machinery Sales, Inc. working under contract to provide Douglas PUD a 4X4 loader backhoe and 20 ton tilt trailer. All materials under the contract have been received and meet the bid specifications. (04-202)

Authorized acceptance of all work performed by G.D.C.D. Electric, Inc. to supply Douglas PUD with conduit and vault installation along Badger Mountain Road. All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (04-203)

Awarded Pipkin Construction of East Wenatchee a contract to provide Douglas PUD with Eastmont Substation oil containment. Pipkin Construction, with a bid price of $22,824, was the lowest responsive bidder. (04-204)

Approved the continuance of the agreement with U.S. Geological Survey Water Resources Division. The cost of the contract is not to exceed $15,340 for the maintenance of river gages at the Wells Project and $9,850 to maintain other river gages located on the Methow and Columbia Rivers. (04-205)

Authorized a change order for the contract with Hale and Long, General Contractors to supply Douglas PUD with a headquarters addition. The changes include irrigation system expansion, backup power to the new building, painting baseboard heaters, and application of parking lot sealer. The cost of the changes is $17,435.01, raising the total project cost from $4,252,052.50 to $4,269,487.51. (04-206)

Reminded those present a hearing for the 2005 Electric Distribution System budget and the 2004-05 Wells Hydroelectric Project budget will be conducted at the next meeting, Monday, October 4, 2004 at 1 p.m. in the East Wenatchee Office.
