Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis and Mike Doneen executed the following actions during the September 13, 2004 Commission meeting held at the Bridgeport Office:

Authorized a change order for the contract with Chandler Business Interiors to provide Douglas PUD with office furnishings for the Headquarters Addition. The changes include tables and chairs for the classroom, additional shelving and wall panels. The cost of the changes is $39,503.19, raising the total project cost from $395,211 to $434,714.19. Approved a change order for the contract with Western States Electric, Inc to provide Douglas PUD with 336 ACSR conductor for the O’Malley 34.5 KV Project. The change is from an ALCAN conductor which is not available in 2004 to a BICC conductor which is available for immediate delivery. The cost of the change is $1,110, raising the total project cost from $93,536 to $94,646. (04-191)

Authorized a call for bids to provide Douglas PUD with 115 kV breakers and potential transformer footings at Terry Substation. (04-192)

Declared two solar-powered school zone speed limit signs surplus to the District’s needs and authorized sale to the Eastmont School District. Eastmont School District has agreed to pay $2,349.47 for the two solar-powered signs. (04-193)

Awarded G.L. Palm Construction of Twisp, WA the contract to provide Douglas PUD with diversion structure modifications for the Twisp River acclimation pond. G.L. Palm Construction, with a bid price of $195,500, was the lowest responsive bidder. (04-194)

Rejected all bids to provide Douglas PUD with electrical modifications and additions to Memorial Park, Pateros, Washington. All bids received were considered non-responsive. Authorized a call for bids to provide Douglas PUD with electrical modifications and additions to Memorial Park, Pateros, Washington. (04-195)

Established a new administrative position of Power Systems Control Engineer. This position would oversee design, administration and maintenance of various systems. (04-196)

Established a new administrative position of Natural Resource Relicensing Specialist. This position will work on the Wells Hydroelectric Project relicensing team. (04-197)
