Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Mike Doneen executed the following actions during the August 9, 2004 Commission meeting held at the Bridgeport Office:

Approved an agreement with the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) regarding the reliability coordinator communication hotline. The North American Electric Reliability Council and the Western Electric Coordinating Council require a communications hotline between generating agencies and the Pacific Northwest Security Coordinator. There is a one time cost of $1,600 to the District for BPA equipment. (04-155)

Authorized an addendum to the bid document for diversion structure modifications for the Twisp River acclimation pond. The pre-bid conference with contractors revealed necessary revisions to the bid document. The addendum will postpone the bid opening two weeks to August 30, 2004. (04-156)

Approved an addendum to the bid document for modifications to the Twisp River Weir / Sill. The pre-bid conference with contractors revealed necessary revisions to the bid document. (04-157)

Authorized an agreement for professional services with LGL Limited for 2004 Bull Trout, Lamprey and Coho Telemetry Studies. This contract is not to exceed $73,777. (04-158)

Authorized an interlocal cooperation agreement with Grant County PUD with regard to fish rearing. Grant PUD has a need for spring chinook, summer chinook and steelhead smolts. The Wells Hatchery has the capacity and ability to raise the necessary fish. Grant PUD will reimburse Douglas PUD for all of the applicable rearing, evaluation and facility costs. (04-159)
