Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Mike Doneen executed the following actions during the June 1, 2004 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Opened bids to provide to construct and install a pier, dock and floats at Columbia Cove Park in Brewster for Douglas PUD. One bid was received for the contract from Construction Service Associates of Malaga with a bid price of $104,745. The District’s estimate was $90,518. The bid will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.
Approved a wind testing lease and option agreement with the Howard Sachs Family Trust covering 1 acre. (04-100)
Declared certain Douglas PUD items of property as surplus and authorized the sale of those materials by auction. Items range from vehicles and computer accessories to vacuums. The sale, handled by the Northwest Auction Service, is scheduled for Saturday, June 26 at the Chelan County Road Department located off Easy Street in Sunnyslope. (04-101)
Authorized a change order for the contract with Hale and Long, General Contractors to supply Douglas PUD with a headquarters addition. The changes cover a new door with lockable hardware, additional traffic signs, and new partitions to replace existing partitions that may have been exposed to asbestos. The cost of all the changes is $7,926.48, raising the total project cost from $4,203,642.93 to $4,211,569.41. (04-102)
Approved a change order for the contract with RFI Communications to supply Douglas PUD with security system improvements for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The changes include access control and video surveillance equipment for a second activated vehicle barrier system, upgraded digital multiplex recorders and a magnetic lock for the main gate. The cost of all the changes is $34,719.95, for a new contract amount of $363,891.95. (04-103)
Established a new administrative position of Wells Project Maintenance Coordinator. This position will identify and schedule a wide variety of maintenance, replacement, and training programs required for proper Wells Hydroelectric Project operation. (04-104)
