Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Mike Doneen executed the following actions during the April 26, 2004 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Authorized award of a contract to Industrial Battery Systems of Seattle to supply a back-up power supply battery bank for the new East Wenatchee headquarters addition. With a bid of $73,884, Industrial Battery Systems was the only responsive bidder.
Authorized award of a contract to Asplundh Tree Expert Co. for Distribution System tree trimming. With a bid of $194,502, Asplundh Tree Expert Co. was the only responsive bidder.
Authorized a call for bids to provide office furnishings for the new East Wenatchee headquarters addition.
Authorized a call for bids to provide raceway covers at the Methow Hatchery. The original Conestoga-like covers were installed in 1992 and have begun to fail. This is a second call for bids. There were no responsive bids received in the last effort to attract proposals.
Authorized an agreement with Okanogan PUD for the purchase of surplus firm transmission service. This transmission service, through the Bonneville Power Administration, is being used to deliver Douglas PUD’s share of the Nine Canyon Wind Project, Phase II.
