Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Mike Doneen executed the following actions during the April 19, 2004 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:

Opened bids to provide Douglas PUD with conduit and vault installation on Badger Mountain Road. There were five bids received for the contract with bid prices ranging from $210,480 to $620,346 with material and from $125,200 to $511,567 without material. The apparent low bid was received from GDCD Electric Inc. of Wenatchee. Estimated to cost $284,158 without material, all bids will be evaluated prior to recommendation.

Opened bids to provide Douglas PUD with a non-overcenter aerial manlift with 25 foot hydraulic lift. There were two bids received for the contract with bid prices at $126,370 and $179,969. The apparent low bid was received from Terex of Seattle. Estimated to cost $125,000, all bids will be evaluated prior to recommendation.

Opened bids to provide Douglas PUD with a battery bank for headquarters annex building. One bid was received for the contract from Industrial Battery Systems of Seattle with a bid price of $73,884. The District’s estimate was $70,000. The bid will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.

Opened bids to provide Douglas PUD with Distribution System tree trimming. One bid was received for the contract from Asplund Tree Expert Company of Wenatchee with a bid price of $194,502. The District’s estimate was $191,800. The bid will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.

Opened bids to provide Douglas PUD with excavation services for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. There were three bids received for the contract with bid prices ranging from $280,700 to $327,575. The apparent low bid was received from Tunnel Hill Granite of Chelan. Estimated to cost $262,100, all bids will be evaluated prior to recommendation.

Opened bids to provide Douglas PUD with a removable bulkhead for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. There were two bids received for the contract with bid prices at $111,890 and $134, 041. The apparent low bid was received from Thompson Metal Fabrication of Vancouver, WA. The District’s estimate was $185,719. All bids will be evaluated prior to recommendation.

Awarded Don Wright’s Lawn Service of Wenatchee a contract to provide Douglas PUD with grounds maintenance for East Wenatchee area properties. Awarded Corrigan’s spray service of Chelan a contract to provide Douglas PUD with grounds maintenance for Wells Dam and Bridgeport area properties. Wright’s Lawn Service and Corrigan’s Spray Service were the respective low bidders for the contract schedules they are being awarded. (04-77)
