Opened bids to provide Douglas PUD with pole testing and treating. There were two bids received with bids at $99,950 and $148, 435. Pole Maintenance Company of Columbus Nebraska was the apparent low bid. Estimated to cost $120,000, all bids will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.

Authorized acceptance of all work performed by Dawson Pile Driving Inc. under contract to provide Douglas County PUD with installation of pilings at Columbia Cove Park in Brewster. All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (04-44)

Approved a purchase and sale agreement with Pomrankey Estate. A mobile home and garage will be purchased to eliminate an encroachment on Wells Hydroelectric Project boundary. (04-45)

Authorized purchase of certain real property from Wyatt/Unger. The acquisition of this property is necessary for the operation and maintenance of the Wells Hydroelectric Project and is prompted by the potential for erosion. (04-46)

Approved a call for bids to provide Douglas PUD with ground maintenance services. Douglas PUD needs to have scheduled and unscheduled grounds maintenance work performed at various District facilities. To assure completion of the work in a timely manner the District will obtain bids for the purpose of having a contract with a qualified grounds maintenance contractor. (04-47)

Authorized a call for bids to provide Douglas PUD with replacement pond covers at the Methow Hatchery. The covers over the 12 production raceways and three adult broodstock holding ponds provide shade and protection from extreme weather conditions. The current covers have been in place for over ten years and the zippers and stitching are failing. (04-48)
