Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Mike Doneen executed the following actions during the January 19, 2004 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:

Modified appendices A B of the Interlocal Agreement with Eastmont School District and authorized the sale of network equipment for $34,948.99. (04-10)

Extended the District’s Bridgeport Headquarters Janitorial Services Agreement with ARE-SEAS Maintenance. This resolution will extend the terms of the contract through December 31, 2004. (04-11)

Authorized Douglas PUD’s participation in certain line items for the Public Generating Pool budget for 2004. Douglas PUD shares the cost of the 2004 budget for consulting and other general expenses. (04-12)

Authorized the issuance of a Request for Proposals for wildlife and botanical studies with regard to wind generation. District staff has identified a need for three surveys: an aerial raptor nest survey, a vegetation survey and mapping, and search for rare threatened and endangered plants. (04-13)

Approved a new Vernita Bar Agreement. This agreement is with various Federal and State agencies and tribes for the protection of fall Chinook Salmon spawning below Priest Rapids Dam through the term of the next Priest Rapids Project license. (04-14)

Authorized an agreement with Biomark, Inc., a sole source, to supply all PIT-tag related research activities for the Wells Project. Biomark will provide consistency with existing infrastructure and studies because they are the only company with a working knowledge of the adult and juvenile Pit-tag interrogation system at the Wells Project. This contract is not to exceed $100,000. (04-15)
