Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Mike Doneen executed the following actions during the January 12, 2004 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Approved use of Voluntary Employees’ Beneficiary Association Medical Savings Account for Non-Union Employees. This allows the deposit of 90% of the employee’s accrued personal leave at retirement into the VEBA MSA. (04-04)
Authorized funding the 2004 Pikeminnow Removal Program for the Wells Hydroelectric Project with Columbia Research of Chelan. This program removed 20,817 pikeminnow from the Wells Project area in 2003. The contract is not to exceed $120,000, the same as in 2003. (04-05)
Approved purchase of 13.35 acres of real property inside the Wells Project boundary from Bureau of Land Management for $25,000. (04-06)
Authorized issuance of $18,420,000 worth of Electric Distribution System Revenue and Refunding Bonds, Series 2004, with an average interest of 3.6%. The sale of these revenue bonds will provide cost savings of $796,784 for the Electric Distribution System. (04-07, 04-08)
Approved insurance settlement of Moore v. PUD. (04-09)
Commissioners also signed the bond purchase contract for the Electric Distribution System Revenue and Refunding Bonds, Series 2004.
