Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Mike Doneen executed the following actions during the May 12, 2003 Commission meeting held at the Bridgeport office:

Authorized the power sales letter agreement with Cowlitz PUD. This short-term power sales agreement will replace a portion of the power lost when Cowlitz PUD’s Swift No. 2 Powerhouse was damaged in 2002. (03-76)

Approved an addendum to the Headquarters Addition bid document. This addendum will clarify some wording in the original bid document and delay the bid opening to June 2, 2003. (03-77)

Authorized a call for bids to provide Douglas PUD with abatement for the Headquarters Addition. A portion of the addition work is in areas of the existing building that require the abatement of asbestos containing materials and lead paint. (03-78)

Approved an increase in funds for the agreement for professional services with Van Ness Feldman. The increase will cover ongoing efforts and upcoming issues of concern to Douglas PUD. (03-79)

The Doneen property is well located under the District’s 115KV transmission line and was the most reasonably priced property evaluated. Commissioner Doneen recused himself from this decision. (03-80)

Approved acceptance of a subdivision power facilities agreement for Canyon Hills Subdivision, Phase IV. The developer, Prime Properties, Inc., has paid the contribution in aid of construction and provided a secured funds account in the total amount of $47,074. (03-81)
