Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Mike Doneen executed the following actions during the April 21, 2003 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Presented Power Resource Coordinator Sharon Liebert with her twenty-five-year service award. In making this presentation, Commission President Jim Davis thanked Liebert for her many years of devoted service to the customers of Douglas County.
Approved an addendum to the Doneen Substation civil construction bid document. The addendum will clarify roofing specifications to ensure a high quality roof. (03-61)
Authorized acceptance of a subdivision power facilities agreement for Ridge Crest subdivision. The developer, Davy Development LLC., has paid the Contribution in Aid of Construction and provided a secured funds account in the total amount of $29,880. (03-62)
Approved a partial release of easement for Rose Oatey. This resolution will vacate the existing right-of-way easement encompassing all of Oatey’s property and replace it with a twenty foot easement along the existing power pole line. (03-63)
Authorized the execution of a first amended and restated power purchase agreement Phase II of the Nine Canyon Wind Project. This agreement will entitle Douglas PUD up to 6.8MW of Phase II output. This will increase the Districts share of the entire Nine Canyon Wind Project to 15.4%. (03-64)
Approved a call for bids to provide Douglas PUD with a headquarters addition. The 19,000 sq. foot addition will house Dispatch, Technicians, Information Systems and some of Wells Engineering. The area currently occupied by Dispatch will be remodeled to house a Wells Project relicensing team. (03-65)
Established a new administrative position of Electrical Engineer. This position will be involved in design, specification, and inspection of contract installations along with system drawing updates for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. (03-66)
