Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Mike Doneen executed the following actions during the March 24, 2003 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:

Opened bids to provide Douglas PUD with miscellaneous conduit, vaults, electrical and concrete work. There were six bids received for the contract with bid prices ranging from $247,063 to $1,235,436. The lowest bid was received from GDCD Electric, Inc. of Wenatchee. Estimated to cost $290,648, all bids will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.

Opened bids to provide Douglas PUD with a distribution dock crew. There were six bids received for the contract with bid prices ranging from $498,942 to $1,036,553. The lowest bid was received from Wilson Construction Company of Canby, OR. Estimated to cost $513,980, all bids will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.

Awarded WESCO Distribution, Inc., of Portland, OR, a contract to provide Douglas PUD with EPR underground primary cable. WESCO Distribution, Inc., with a bid price of $297,053, was the lowest responsive bidder. (03-41)

Approved an addendum to the station service circuit breakers for the Wells Hydroelectric Project bid document. The addendum will postpone the bid opening one week to April 7, 2003. (03-42)

Authorized an agreement for professional services with Columbia Basin Environmental for dissolved gas sensor calibration for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. To keep accurate readings periodic maintenance and calibration is necessary. This contract is not to exceed $5,000. (03-43)

Approved an agreement for professional services with Columbia Basin Environmental for evaluation of total dissolved gas related to the Wells Hydroelectric Project. In hopes of minimizing the total dissolved gas at Wells Dam, the information collected will be compared with spill gate and power house operations to see if there is a correlation. This contract is not to exceed $15,500. (03-44)
