Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Mike Doneen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the January 27, 2003 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:

Approved work performed by Husky International Trucks, Inc. for two 4X4 truck cab and chassis. All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (03-13)

Authorized the extension of the District’s Bridgeport headquarters janitorial service agreement with Are-Seas Maintenance for 2003. Are-Seas performs janitorial services at the Bridgeport office and Warehouse. This resolution will extend the contract through December 31, 2003. (03-14)

Approved an agreement with Okanogan PUD for the purchase of surplus firm transmission service. Okanogan PUD has surplus firm transmission demand available to transmit Douglas PUD’s share of the output from the Nine Canyon Wind Project. (03-15)

Authorized an amendment to the agreement for professional services with Parametrix, Inc. In preparation of the Habitat Conservation Plan Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) Parametrix has been required to revise the EIS documents in response to comments from the agencies and others, help develop the record of decision and publish the administrative record on compact disks. This amendment will increase the not to exceed budget by $43,925. (03-16)

Approved a professional services agreement with Dr. John Skalski for 2003-2004 for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. Dr. Skaliski will assist with the development of study plans, sample size calculations, technical review and the preparation of reports. This contract is for two years at a cost not to exceed $50,000. (03-17)
