Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Mike Doneen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the December 16, 2002 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:

Conducted a public hearing for questions regarding Local Utility District No. 1 of Douglas County for the Rio Vista Street Assessment Roll. No one being present with questions regarding the assessment and having received no other form of comment, the Commission declared the matter closed and adopted the Roll for 2003 at $21.00 per lot. Approved the execution of a participation agreement with IntercontinentalExchange, Inc. This agreement will allow Douglas PUD to expand the capabilities of power price discovery and arrange for the purchase, sale, or exchange of power. (02-255)

Authorized the agreement for sale of surplus capacity to Avista Corporation during 2003. (02-256)

Declared fish-rearing net pens surplus and authorized their sale to Chelan County PUD . Chelan County PUD agreed to pay $30,000 for two surplus net pens for their sockeye program. (02-257)

Approved the acceptance of all work performed by Waukesha Electric Systems, working under contract to assist Douglas PUD in moving and storing insulation oil for the power transformers at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (02-258)

Authorized the extension of professional services agreement with APS Healthcare Northwest, Inc. For several years Douglas PUD has offered the service of an Employee Assistance Program to all employees and their immediate families. The cost to Douglas PUD is $2.54 per employee per month. (02-259)
