Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Mike Doneen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the September 30, 2002 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Authorized the District to negotiate an agreement for civil engineering services with RH2 Engineering, Inc. of East Wenatchee. RH2 Engineering was selected from a group of ten engineering firms that responded to a District request for proposals.
Declared miscellaneous scrap metal surplus to the needs of the District and authorized a call for bids from individuals or firms interested in purchasing this scrap metal. The surplus material is identified as 65,621 pounds of assorted aluminum conductor, 5,165 pounds of bare copper conductor and 4,125 pounds of weatherproof copper conductor. Bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. October 17.
Heard the environmental review of the Electric Distribution System 2003 draft budget and the Wells Hydroelectric Project 2002-03 draft budget. Items in the budget were determined to be exempt from environmental review except for hatchery betterments and improvements, substation development and the construction of office facilities. Reminded those present that the next Commission meeting will be September 30 at 1:00 p.m. at the East Wenatchee Headquarters. A hearing for the 2003 Electric Distribution System budget and the 2002-03 Wells Hydroelectric Project budget will be conducted at this meeting.
