Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Mike Doneen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the September 3, 2002 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:

Opened bids to move and store transformer oil for Douglas PUD. There were three bids received for the contract with bid prices ranging from $25,077 to $46,608. The apparent low bid was received from Waukesha Electric Systems Inc. of Waukesha, Wisconsin. The District’s estimate was $31,000. After evaluation of bids and recommendation by district staff, an oral resolution was passed awarding the bid to the lowest responsive bidder, Waukesha Electric Systems Inc. (02-189)

Approved a change order for the contract with GG Richardson, Inc. to supply Douglas PUD with a covered transformer storage area. The changes cover radio control for the bridge crane, crew facility alterations and an upgrade to the roofing membrane. The cost of all the changes is $20,966, raising the total project cost from $890,100 to $911,066. (02-186)

Authorized a change to an annual renewal for public officials liability insurance with an employment practices liability endorsement. The coverage will be provided by Associated Electric and Gas Insurance Services Limited, have a $5,000,000 limit and a deductible of $100,000. (02-187)

Rejected the bid submitted to supply Douglas PUD with coupling capacitor voltage transformers for Douglas switchyard and Wells Dam. The bid received for the contract exceeded the engineer’s estimate by more than the amount allowable under state law. (02-188 )
