Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Mike Doneen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the July 8, 2002 Commission meeting held at the Bridgeport Office:
Opened bids to provide Douglas PUD with acoustic scintillation frames for Wells Hydroelectric Project. There was one bid received for the contract from Ebony Iron Works of Portland, Oregon with a bid price of $95,713. The District’s estimate was $154,850. The bid will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.
Authorized the following Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife budgets:
Operation and maintenance budget for the Wells Hatchery for the 2002-2003 fiscal year for $845,474. This is a 9.7% decrease from last year’s budget. (02-148)
Operation and maintenance budget for the Methow Hatchery for the 2002-2003 fiscal year for $581,048. This is a 6.1% increase from last year’s budget. (02-149)
Methow and Wells Hatchery Complex Evaluation Program for the 2002-2003 fiscal year for $216,702. This is a 25% increase from last year’s budget. The main reason for the increase in the budget is evaluation requirements for both hatcheries have increased to answer questions to aid recovery of the listed Spring Chinook and Steelhead. (02-150)
Supplemental funding for maintaining certain lands in the Wells Wildlife Area. The budget request was for $92,950, which is a three percent increase from last year. (02-151)
