Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Mike Doneen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the April 8, 2002 Commission meeting held at the Bridgeport Office:
Awarded G.G. Richardson Inc. of Wenatchee the contract to provide Douglas PUD with a covered transformer storage area. G.G. Richardson, with a bid price of $873,700, was the lowest responsive bidder.
Approved an amendment to the option to purchase property from Mr. and Mrs. Michael Doneen. Discussion with Douglas County Transportation and Land Services regarding the necessary permits and conditions for placement of the proposed Fancher Plateau substation have allowed Douglas PUD to reduce the acreage necessary for the substation from 2.6 acres to 2.3 acres which will in turn reduce the development costs. Commissioner Doneen recused himself from this board action.
Authorized a change order to the excavating services for the Wells Project contract with Allen Construction. Video inspection showed significant amounts of debris in front of the trash racks. Removal of the debris is necessary because restricted flows are preventing full capacity from some of the generating units and the grass cutter cannot operate effectively with the debris blockage.
