The following is a report of the Douglas County Public Utility District Commission meeting that was held on June 4, 2001.
The Commissioners opened bids to provide Douglas PUD with asphalt repair and installation for the period of July 1, 2001 to June 30, 2002. An agreement is necessary for asphalt repairs and installation since this work is sometimes needed during the construction or maintenance of underground and overhead power lines. Contained in the bid document is an option to extend the resulting contract for an additional year. There were two bids received for the contract with bid prices ranging from $91,000 to $205,000. The lower bid was received from Moe Asphalt of East Wenatchee. Estimated to cost $129,500, all bids will be evaluated by staff before recommendation of award.
Wind testing and lease options with four property owners were authorized. These leases cover a total of 4,672 acres for annual payments totaling $10,951.
Those in attendance were reminded that the June 18th Commission Meeting has been canceled.
