The following is a report of the Douglas County Public Utility District Commission meeting that was held on May 21, 2001.
The Commissioners opened bids to provide Douglas County PUD expansion and renovation of the East Wenatchee warehouse facility plus the addition of a new transformer shop. This is the fifth phase of a multi-year upgrade and expansion to the warehouse facilities. Construction is to begin around June 1st and completion around December 15, 2001. There were six bids received for the contract and prices ranged from $1,218,000 to $1,283,614. The lowest bid was received from Concord Construction of Wapato, WA. Estimated to cost $1,768,610, the bids will be evaluated by PUD staff prior to any award recommendation.
The regular scheduled Commission Meeting on Monday, May 28th was rescheduled to Tuesday, May 29th due to the forthcoming Memorial Day Holiday. It will be held at 2pm in the East Wenatchee Headquarters Building.
