The following is a report of the Douglas County Public Utility District Commission meeting that was held on May 7, 2001.
The Commissioners authorized a call for bids to provide Douglas County PUD with asphalt repair and installation for the period of July 1, 2001 to June 30, 2002. An agreement is necessary for asphalt repairs and installation since this work is sometimes necessary during the construction or maintenance of underground and overhead power lines. Contained in the bid document is an option to extend the resulting contract for an additional year.
The acceptance of all work performed by Wilson Construction Company working under contract to Douglas County PUD as the PUD’s distribution dock crew was also approved by the Commission. All of Wilson’s work has been completed, inspected, and determined to meet all specifications by PUD staff. This acceptance covers Wilson’s work for the second year of a two-year contract.
All work performed by McCandlish Electric, Inc. working under contract to Douglas County PUD to provide miscellaneous conduit, vaults, electrical and concrete work was also approved by the Commissioners. Douglas PUD staff has inspected all of McCandlish’s work and found it to be completed and determined that it meets all specifications. This acceptance covers McCandlish’s work for the second year of a two-year contract.
The Commission authorized the acceptance of all work performed by Changing Directions for traffic control flagging for the period ending December 31, 2000.
