The following is a report of the Douglas County Public Utility District Commission meeting that was held on April 9, 2001.
The Commissioners presented Information Systems Supervisor Dick Martin with his twenty-five year service award. In making the presentation, Commission President Lynn Heminger thanked Martin for his many years of dedicated service to the customers of Douglas County. “It’s a real pleasure to have been here for 25 years and a real pleasure to receive this award”, Martin said.
The retirement and sale of a computer to the Douglas County Port District was authorized by the Commission. Douglas PUD had recently replaced a computer leaving the original unit surplus to the PUDs needs. Douglas PUD staff determined the used computer had a market value of $200. The Douglas County Port District expressed their interest in purchasing the used unit and offered to pay the $200. The Commissioners approved the sale under RCW 39.33.010 that allows Douglas County PUD to sell property to another municipality or political subdivision on such terms and conditions as may be agreed upon.
An interconnection and service agreement with Northwest Regional Power LLC was also approved by the Board of Commissioners.
