The following is a report of the Douglas County Public Utility District Commission meeting that was held on October 23, 2000.
The Commissioners authorized a lease agreement with Columbia River Fish Farms to use Douglas PUD’s net-pens. Used by the PUD for releasing sockeye salmon, these net-pens are presently located at the Columbia River Fish Farms near Nespelem, Washington. Since the PUD has no plans to use the net-pens during the next several months, Columbia River Fish Farms has requested a lease for use of the pens through June 31, 2001. The lease calls for payments at the monthly rate of $150.
Those in attendance were reminded that the regular Commission Meeting of October 30, 2000 had been canceled.
