The following is a report of the Douglas County Public Utility District Commission meeting that was held on May 30, 2000.
The Commissioners presented Power Dispatcher Arlen Simon with his twenty-year service award. Commission President Mike Doneen thanked Simon for his many years of dedicated service to the customers of Douglas County. Simon expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the award.
The retirement and disposal of particular personal property items belonging to Douglas County PUD was approved by the Commission. There were many computer-related items listed including out-dated components that do not function and are too costly to be of further use to the PUD. Prior experience has shown that selling similar items or materials through the public sale process is normally not very beneficial to Douglas PUD. All items contained on this listing will be provided to the Bridgeport School District for their various uses.
The Commissioners accepted all work that had been performed by Sulzer USA for the digital conversion to the existing plant load control and governor systems at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. District staff had provided a memorandum stating that all work and materials had been completed and inspected and were found to be in compliance with the required specifications.
