The following is a report of the Douglas County Public Utility District Commission meeting that was held on February 14, 2000.
The Commission extended the janitorial agreement with ARE-SEAS Maintenance covering Douglas PUD’s Bridgeport Headquarters office building and warehouse for the year 2000. The local firm has provided this service for many years.
Final payment and acceptance of work was authorized to Asplundh Tree Expert Company for Distribution tree trimming. The firm had received a two-year contract for a total price of $237,108.01.
The extension of an Agreement for Professional Services with Dr. John Skalski was authorized by the Commission. Dr. Skalski has been Douglas PUD’s consulting statistician for analysis of steelhead survival studies conducted at the Wells Hydroelectric Project since the mid-1980s. This agreement will run through 2000 and is not to exceed $45,000.
Work performed by Basin Paving Company was approved, with final payment authorized for the contract which amounted to $46,018.60. Basin Paving provided asphalt repair and installation for the District.
