The following is a report of the Douglas County Public Utility District Commission meeting that was held on February 7, 2000.
Bids were opened to provide Douglas PUD with building maintenance services for the Douglas PUD East Wenatchee facilities. The new contract to furnish janitorial services for the East Wenatchee Headquarters building, warehouse and crew facility will provide for those services through December 31, 2001. The District received a single bid from American Building Maintenance of Kennewick, WA in the amount of $2,568.00 per month. After evaluation by District staff, and with an engineer’s estimate of $2,440.00 per month, the firm was awarded the contract.
A call for bids was authorized to provide twenty refrigeration compressors for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The replacement of these compressors will alleviate maintenance problems in the heating, ventilation and cooling system for the structure. The compressors were originally installed during the construction of the dam.
Due to the Presidents’ Day Holiday on February 21, the February 21st commission meeting was rescheduled to Tuesday, February 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the East Wenatchee Headquarters.
