The following is a report of the Douglas County Public Utility District Commission meeting which was held on December 20, 1999.
The Commissioners noted that the date of December 20, 1999 had been established at a prior Commission meeting as the date for questions regarding LUD No. 1 of Douglas County for the Rio Vista Street Assessment Roll. There were no visitors present at the meeting with questions regarding the assessment and no correspondence was received by mail. The Commission declared the matter closed and adopted the Roll for 2000 at a fee of $31.00 per lot. This is the same assessment amount since 1995.
The legal services agreement between Douglas PUD and Jeffers, Danielson, Sonn, and Aylward, P.S. was renewed by the Commission for the year 2000. The local firm has been providing legal services for the PUD for many years.
Information was collected in 1993 regarding the adult chinook fish passage at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. That data was originally analyzed by hand. Douglas PUD staff has requested a computerized re-analysis of that information to ensure the results contain the most accurate data interpretation. The firm of LGL, Limited was selected as it is the only consulting firm properly equipped and experienced to perform such a data reanalysis. The LGL results will be available prior to the end of January 2000 at a cost that is not to exceed $11,440. The Commissioners approved the staff request and recognized LGL, Limited, as the single available source to provide Douglas PUD with a computerized reanalysis of the chinook data collected in 1993.
