Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

​Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ronald E Skagen, Molly Simpson and Aaron J. Viebrock executed the following actions during the June 12, 2017 Commission meeting held at the District's East Wenatchee office:

Authorized amendment No. 3 to professional service agreement with Sigma Six Solutions. This amendment increases the not-to-exceed amount $3,200 bringing the total contract amount to $124,743  to allow additional work to be completed. (17-077)

Approved professional service agreement with Cramer Fish Sciences for Twisp spring Chinook egg-to-fry study to identify productivity limiting factors in the Twisp River. This agreement is not to exceed $69,000 and will conclude June 30, 2018. (17-078)

Affirmed change order No. 10 to contact 14-19-W, Wells Hatchery modernization. Necessary to address several constructability issues. This change order increases the not to exceed limit $87,625 bringing the total not to exceed limit to $36,580,219. (17-079)

Authorized professional service agreement with ASL AQFlow, Inc. to provide flow measurement services for the Wells Hydroelectric Project.  ASL will perform flow measurement services, data analysis and produce flow test reports for two generating units at a cost not to exceed $60,000. (17-080)

Approved change orders No. 56-58 to contract 06-41-W, generator rebuild for unit refurbishment for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. These changes include out-of-scope repairs to Unit 4 inner head cover, and engineering and labor for Unit 4 rotor rim replacement. This will increase the contract $1,099,901, bringing the total not to exceed amount to $165,867,623. Authorized acceptance of work and final payment to Halme Builders under contract 15-15-W, construct meeting room at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. All work has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (17-082)

Affirmed change order No 6 to contract 16-14-W, construct Wells Hydroelectric Project Interpretive Center. Changes include additional concrete work and installation of exhaust fan for fountain chlorinator and extending the completion date to June 15, 2017.  These changes will increase the cost $14,002, bringing the total not-to-exceed cost to $1,289,155. Approved approval of land use permit 311C-02, Dave and Debbie Rohde. The permit is for continued use of Project lands previously permitted for a single use dock, fire pit, bulkhead and residential landscaping. (17-084)

Established compensation for the position of General Manager effective July 1, 2017. (17-085)

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. June 26, 2017 at the District's East Wenatchee office.
