Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ron Skagen, Jim Davis and Molly Simpson executed the following actions during the July 13, 2015 Commission meeting held at the District's East Wenatchee office:

Authorized release of easements for Pangborn Airport due to airport expansion. The easements are no longer necessary. (15-124)

Approved disposal of inoperative IPTV set-top boxes. They are no longer of use or value to the District. (15-125)

Authorized notice to Public Utility District No. 1 of Chelan County of election to extend term of power sales contract dated April 6, 1976 for the sale and purchase of Rocky Reach Project output. (15-126)

Approved change order No. 1 to contract 15-06-W, Memorial Park and Peninsula Park Trail improvements.  The changes include additional pavement replacement for safer access to recreation facilities at a cost of $4,631. (15-127)

Affirmed change order No. 6 to contract 13-06-W, circuit breaker installation for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. Necessary to extend the completion date of the contract to August 31, 2015. There is no change to the total cost of the contract. (15-128)

Authorized acceptance of work and final payment to Valley Electric Co. Under contract 14-07-W, furnish and install East Wenatchee Headquarters standby diesel generator.  All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet bid specifications. (15-129)

Approved Reliability Coordinator Funding Agreement with Peak Reliability, Inc. Peak Reliability is the NERC certified Reliability Coordinator for the Western Interconnection. (15-130)

Authorized amendment No. 5 to the agreement with Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc. for consulting engineering services.  There are several tasks that will extend beyond the current term of the agreement. Due to the difficulty and inefficiency of transferring tasks to another firm, this will extend the term of the agreement three years.  (15-131)

Approved a professional service agreement with the Colville Confederated Tribes for 2015 Archaeological Monitoring for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The Historic Properties Management Plan requires annual archaeological monitoring at forty four high priority archaeological sites for a period of five years. This agreement shall not exceed $46,210 and will conclude May 31, 2016. (15-132)

Authorized approval of Land Use Permit 58B-01 to the Michael and Robin Isenhart. This is a renewal of a Land Use Permit for an existing dock and landscaping on District property. (15-133)

Approved Land Use Permit 77-02 to the Evie Pariseau. This is a renewal of a Land Use Permit for an existing dock and landscaping on District property. (15-134)

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. July 27, 2015 at the District's East Wenatchee office.
